This video is about Ramanagara, a town in Karnataka, also know as Ramanagara Hills. It is known for its largest silk market in Karnataka. Also, a popular trekking and rappeling spot, it got famous after a superhit movie Sholay released in 1975, portrayed Ramanagara as a village named Ramgarh and since then it is famous as Sholay Movie Rock. It is also famous for its Vulture Sanctuary, the only sanctuary in Asia with several kinds of vulture. It is also said Jatayu from Ramayana, was an inspiration behind opening it as a Vulture sanctuary, it is aimed to restore the endangered species of vultures. At the time of exile, Ram, Sita and Laxman passed through this village and even installed Shivalinga, which is a temple now.
Ramanagara hill is surrounded by several huge boulders and rocks which makes it a beautiful spot for spending a good time. To reach the top, you need to climb 400-500 steps. The hike is quite easy and can be visited by family of kids and elders as well. Huge parking space at the entrance gate of the temple.
