Developer don't stay isolated. #tech #mindset #development

I am a big fan of having people who challenge me and my thoughts.

If you have followed me for a while, you might know some aspects of my thinking:

• I like to know the negative opinions
• I like to have a lot of feedback
• I believe in mentoring
• I advocate continuous learning
• I believe in direct and instant communication for problem-solving

Those things helped me a lot in navigating my engineering and entrepreneurial life.

It wasn't always like that. I was more of an introvert in the early years and avoided communication and social interactions or feedback. Feedback was like "𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗻"; I would even say there was a form of 𝗮𝗻𝘅𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 in place.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁?
What helped me most was to speak regularly with people I can trust who know my journey and are interested in it. This helped me reflect and better understand where I was and where I needed to go.

I have several "𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀" to whom I talk and who help me regularly 𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Isolation is tempting. It's what Resistance, our inner negative voice 😈, wants from us. I𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲.
