⚔️ eBay Dropshipping VS Shopify Dropshipping - Which one is better?

In this video, I am comparing between eBay dropshipping and Shopify dropshipping. In the last 4 years of my life, I was living off what could ebay dropshipping, this was my main income source since June 2016. In the course of the 4 years, I also tried dropshipping on shopify multiple times but I did not know how to find winning products or had the budget to really make it work.

If you don't know what is ebay dropshipping essentially, all you do is copying products from other online retailers like Aliexpress, walmart, amazon, home depot, etc, and list them to your ebay store. Now the key to success on ebay is to find products that are already being dropshipped successfully on to ebay and be able to find them for cheaper in a different website. Benefits:
1. eBay droshipping doesn't require any paid traffic, on ebay it is 100% free traffic, you don't need to use facebook ads or Instagram ads. All you need to know is, how to rank your ebay listings as high as possible.

2. Everyone can have an ebay account, you probably used it to buy yourself something or tried selling some used things from your house. The good thing is that you get 50 free listings and you only pay ebay after you make a sale.

3. eBay dropshipping is SIMPLE. ebay dropshipping in my opinion, is one the easiest ways to start generating income and start making money online. All you need to do is to master your product research skills and learn how to scale the business.

The bad things:
1. The amount of listings you need to list every single day is very time consuming and very hard to keep up with compared to shopify where you can have only one product making you the majority of the income.

2. eBay flagging dropshipping account. At the beginning of 2019 ebay started flagging accounts because they want to get rid of dropshipppers.

3. ebay suspending new accounts. for me, that was the breaking point because in the past I knew that if anything happens to my account I can always create a new one but since they started suspending new account without any reason I thought that it is probably the time for me to move on.

4. eBay will suspend your account if you will scale too fast. When you are scaling to fast on ebay you will probably get the famous MC011 restriction and after that, 99.9% you won't get your account back.

Shopify Pros and Cons:

Benefits:
1. You only need to find one winning product to change your life. Not like on ebay, here you can do huge numbers by selling only 1 single product in your store.

2. Scalability. In my first successful store, we scaled from $6,000 to $75,000 per month in just 1 month. This something that is impossible to do on ebay.

3. Branding. Branding is one of the best benefits you can have with shopify dropshipping. Not like on ebay where people are there only for the cheapest price, here you can actually build a strong connection with your customers.

The bad things of shopify:
1. You need to invest money. Not like ebay where you can start your business with 0$, here you have to have a certain budget to start shopify dropshipping.

2. Facebook can suspend your ad account and personal account. This is something that happened to me, facebook suspended my personal account without any reason. Facebook machine can suspend your ad account without a reason and you will have to contact facebook support all the time and appeal the restriction to get your account back.

3. Payment processors restricting your account. If you are using PayPal or Stripe, you will probably get restricted and have your money held if you will scale too quickly.

4. Copyrights problems. Using other people's images/videos and content can get you in trouble so it is probably better for you to pay for the content you are using for your product.
