DroneKit Python Autostart on Raspberry Pi & Pixhawk Hexacopter
Many have asked how to get DroneKit to run on Raspberry Pi without having to manually invoke a python script from the command line. Ideally I'd like to find a way to invoked the script using a switch on my Taranis, but in the meantime I'll run the script when Raspberry Pi boots. The field test will consist of powering up the Pixhawk hexacopter and letting the DroneKit python script run automatically. Once the safety switch is engaged and pre-arm checks have passed the DroneKit script will tell the hexacopter to takeoff to 20m, hover for 10 seconds and land. This will be a fully autonomous test and hopefully open the drones to much more advanced scripting
