Technical sound design reel Unreal Engine + Wwise (Stack'O Bot project)

This project showcases a deep integration of adaptive audio systems using Wwise and Unreal Engine. The core focus was on creating a responsive sonic identity for a robotic character. I developed a dynamic footstep system driven by Raycasts and Physical Materials, alongside a velocity-based modulation for mechanical servos. To enhance the sense of weight, I implemented a height-tracking logic in Blueprints that automatically scales landing impacts—switching between "Soft" and "Heavy" assets based on the fall distance.
Beyond character movement, I focused on making the environment feel alive through physics-based interactions. Using Blueprint logic gates, I synchronized audio events for complex puzzles, such as multi-input pressure plates and doors. Additionally, I built a robust impact system for metallic props, where collision impulse data is mapped to Wwise RTPCs to control volume and filter cutoffs dynamically. This ensures that every interaction—from a light nudge to a high-speed crash—feels physically accurate while maintaining a clean, clutter-free mix.
