In 2000, Heinz made one of its strangest product decisions ever named Clear Ketchup. Instead of the iconic red sauce, it looked like a bottle of gel. They marketed it as a fun creative twist for kids, but when people tried it most were confused. Many said it was too sweet and lacked the rich tomato flavor they loved. The backlash was quick, and Heinz had to pull the product from shelves in just a few months. Today, it’s remembered as one of the company’s weirdest flops. Some might even say that it was the only ketchup that was truly “all natural.”
