How the Worst Mid in the LCS Became An MVP

For more than a decade the LCS has had players across the globe call it home. Some of game's brightest names have all converged in LA to play professional League of Legends.

Late in 2023, a struggling 100 Thieves bets on a roster of former superstars that does not work out and looks to fill their mid lane position after legend Bjergsen retires leaving a void on the team.

The player who fills that spot is a young, talented South Korean gamer named Quid, who realized he's never going to take the spot from his team's primary midlaner Chovy and moves to the LCS for a different opportunity.

What follows is a split marred by mistakes, from a player who's talent seems like it's never going to have time to bloom.

How does a player in this position then, go from being one of the worst mids the LCS has ever seen to an MVP in just a single split.
