DIY - SHAME on you Toyota - Wiper linkage transmission repair 2010 Venza

This DIY video diagnoses the failure causing the windshield wipers to stop moving on a 2010 Toyota Venza.
Then it shows how to reuse one of the chrome balls (in the ball/socket) from the old transmission in the new transmission.
Doing this will avoid the rediculous expense of nearly $400 MORE dollars (on top of the $330 for the new wiper transmission). As you can tell from the title, I am not impressed with Toyota's decision to make these wearable parts easily and economically replaceable the way other vehicle manufactures have done using replaceable bushings.

Enjoy and subscribe. Approximate times shown below
min 1-2 shows how the transmission works. I also shame Toyota for their poor design from an economical repair perspective.
min 2-3 describes my first attempt to repair the worn bushings - FAIL
min 4-7 shows why the bushings failed and why the new transmission should NOT just be installed with the old motor without detailed inspection.
min 7-13 talks about my 2nd method to repair which worked beautifully
min 14 - 16 talks about mounting the old motor on new transmission
min 16- 19 reinstalling the wiper motor and transmission
min 19 -22 shows how to properly calibrate the angle of wiper arms and reinstall them
