Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System Product Training – Get Ready to Start
Starting the Omnipod® 5 System for the first time is easy, but it will require initial insulin settings from your healthcare provider (HCP) and training on the system. You should never attempt to calculate these settings on your own.
Initial setup will take you through three main steps:
1. Entry of personalized information and insulin pump settings
2. Pod setup and activation
3. Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) setup
Once these steps are complete and the Omnipod 5 is connected to the Dexcom G6 CGM, you'll be ready to switch to Automated Mode. Your HCP also has a unique code which you'll need in order to share your data with their practice.
To learn about training on the system watch “Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System Training - Overview”: https://youtu.be/gJxZpFnNtBE
