After a sunny week, the chill weather was perfect for a quick weekend shopping trip to EDEKA – one of Germany’s popular supermarkets. As a Tamil girl living in Germany, I always look forward to small things that connect me to home. During this visit, I was surprised by the huge sweet potatoes and radishes. But the real highlight was spotting grapes from India among the fruits section! Most apples here are from Deutschland, watermelons from Costa Rica, but seeing the label “India” gave me pure joy – namma ooru pazham in a German store!
