Inside Thailand's Slums: Wipha Floods Cause Flash Floods | Women Survive MUD, DANGER and POLLUTION

MUD, DANGER and POLLUTION

Thailand is entering a period of deep uncertainty.
Political tensions with Cambodia are escalating along the border. Tropical Storm Wipha has triggered widespread flash floods, paralyzing entire neighborhoods. Food prices are rising, while rapid urbanization continues to push the poor further from the city center.
In Klong Toei, Bangkok’s largest slum, the floodwaters are receding more slowly than aid arrives. Narrow alleys are thick with mud, homes are filled with garbage, and women are still holding together what’s left of daily life amid the aftermath.
What really happens after a storm passes and leaves the burden on those with no other options?
