Ganyu Wave Dash New Tech On Mobile | Genshin Impact

WHAT IS WAVE DASH AND HOW TO DO IT?
Wave dash is animation cancelling with the use of an air current. It is performed by pressing the jump key twice in an extremely fast manner.

Instead of gliding up like normally, since the level of your character's feet from the ground is way too low after the first jump, the game thinks that your character is landing after the second jump.

Wave dash has an extremely small end-lag animation (animation where you can't perform any other secondary action during your initial action for example, you're in the middle of normal attacks, so you can't move your character at all until they finish those animations except by jumping or dashing to cancel the attack, hence called animation cancelling) so it's a straight upgrade from jump cancelling and dash cancelling, granted that you have fast enough reflex to perform this, your character could benefit a lot from animation cancelling and that the enemy is stationary for Venti's air current.(the only possible way to create air current from a character)

DISCLAIMER: The purpose of this video is to test if wave dash is possible to perform in mobile and just for me to test out if there would be a huge difference on Ganyu's Motion Per Value if I use this newly-discovered technique called wave dash instead of the normal animation cancel on her charged attacks.

And from the looks of it, it doesn't change her overall damage output at all since her charged attack already has such a small end-lag animation.

So the conclusion for this experiment is wave dash for Ganyu doesn't boost her damage significantly unless you perfect frame for all of your charged attacks. Even if you're able to, the boost in damage won't be significant at all but you could subtly feel the difference in speeds. But I haven't done the maths and theorycrafting for this so feel free to comment down below if you already did it.

Also, the best character to use this on in my opinion is Hu Tao or C6 Fischl or for sword and polearm users.
WHAT IS GENSHIN IMPACT?
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS in September 2020, PlayStation 5 in April 2021, and is planned for future release on Nintendo Switch. The game features an anime style open-world environment and an action-based battle system. The game is free-to-play and is monetized through gacha game mechanics. While developed after Honkai Impact 3rd (2016) with a similar naming scheme, Genshin Impact is not a sequel.

Genshin Impact takes place in the fantasy world of Teyvat, which is home to seven distinct nations, each of which is tied to a different element and ruled by a different god. The story follows the Traveler, who has traveled across countless worlds with their twin sibling before becoming separated in Teyvat. The Traveler travels in search of their lost sibling with their companion Paimon, all the while becoming involved in the affairs of Teyvat's nations.

Development took the better part of 4 years from early 2017 to 2020. To supplement the game, miHoYo released a companion manga, with further plans for tie-in media. The game received generally positive reviews, with critics praising the combat and open-world, while others criticized its shallow endgame and monetization model. A commercial success, the game grossed over $2 billion in its first year of release.
