My Golden Rule For Trading Counter Trend. What is a counter trend? Can you successfully counter trend trade? What are some strategies for counter-trend trading? This is my rule for trading counter-trend markets. Think about trading trending vs counter-trend markets. If you have a chugging trend (grinding trend) I wouldn't want to want to pick the top of that as it is too challenging. But if you're trading an extension and you're looking for the market to go back to the mean or you're trading for a full reversal (but on the second you are going to get stopped out a lot). In a trend type trade you have the wind behind you and if you align yourself with the trend it will forgive a lot of non-optimal entries. So what is my golden rule for trading counter-trends?
