GBS outbreak alert 🚨⚠️

Maharastra has reported over 200 cases of Guillain- Barre syndrome (GBS), with and deaths in pune and mumbai.
Now, karnataka, Tamilnadu, Andhra pradesh and Tamilnadu are also on high alert.

What is GBS ?
GBS is a rare but serious neurological disorder where the immune system mistakenly attacks the nerves, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and even respiratory failure.

How does it spread?
The main culprit is campylobactor jejuni, a bacterium found in contaminated water, raw or undercooked meat, and dairy products.
cross- contamination from knives, cutting boards, and utensils can also spread it.

Symptoms to watch for:
⚠️ weakness and tingling in limbs
⚠️ Difficulty walking or moving
⚠️ Paralysis in severe cases
⚠️ Trouble breathing or swallowing

Stay safe:
✅ Avoiding raw / undercooked meat
✅ Drink only purified water
✅ wash hands and utensils properly
✅ Be cautious while eating outside.
