Konačno je počela realizacija ruske donacije 30 tenkova T-72!
Na Batajnicu je stigao prvi kontingent doniranih ruskih modernizovanih tenkova T -72B1MS čija isporuka se čekala više od tri godine. Mnogi su se u Srbiji s pravom pitali da li će Rusija ikada ispručiti tenkove? Jula prošle godine u medijima je osvanula vest da je Rumunija blokirala isporuku tenkova T-72 brodovima preko Dunava. Ipak je stiglo 10 BRDM-2MS izviđačkih vozila koji su stigli ruskim avionima, a nastavak njihovog dopremanja očekujemo ovih dana.
Priča o ruskoj donaciji Srbiji modernizovanih tenkova T-72 je krenula još 2016. godine.
U prvi mah spominjao se T-72S kao izvozna verzija tenka T-72B1 sa reaktivnim oklopom i mogućnošću lasniranja protivoklopne rakete iz tenkovske cevi.
Krajem 2017. pojavila se priča da će Srbija zapravo dobiti moderniji tenk nego što je T-72S, pa se već u decembru iste godine spominjala varijanta B3.
Navodno je prva ponuđena verzija tenkova T-72S bila odbijena, jer nisu na nivou tehničke opremljenosti Vojske Srbije. Onda je 2019. većina medija u Srbiji objavila da će iz Rusije stići T-72B1-MS poznatiji i kao Beli orao, koja je jedna od modernizacija ponuđenih ruskoj vojsci, koja nije naišla na odobrenje.
„Beli orao“ je izvozna verzija tenka T-72 objekat 184-1MS koji je nastao u okviru projekta Proryv-2G, koji se nudio ruskoj armiji kao jedna varijanta modernizacije tenka T-72.
Za osnov ove modernizacije uzet je tenk verzije T-72B1.
U tenk je ugrađena dnevno-noćna nišanska sprava PN-72U sosna-U, koja je unapredila preciznost gađanja u svim vremenskim uslovima.
Komandir tenka dobio je panoramsku nišansku spravu PKP-72 s termalnim kanalom treće generacije, a slična je ugrađena i na novom tenku T-90M. Na krovu kupole nalazi se daljinski upravljiva borbena stanica s mitraljezom NSVT kalibra 12,7 mm.
Navedena poboljšanja čine tenk T-72B1 MS znatno naprednijim od tenka T-72B1, ali je slabija od verzije tenka T-72B3 kada je reč o oklopnoj zaštiti. Pasivna oklopna zaštita na T-72 B1 MS je ERO „Kontakt-1″.

The story about the Russian donation of modernized T-72 tanks to Serbia started in 2016.
At first, the T-72S was mentioned as an export version of the T-72B1 tank with jet armor and the possibility of launching an anti-tank missile from a tank barrel.
At the end of 2017, there was a story that Serbia would actually get a more modern tank than the T-72S, so in December of the same year, the B3 variant was mentioned.
Allegedly, the first offered version of the T-72S tanks was rejected, because they are not at the level of technical equipment of the Serbian Army. Then, in 2019, most of the media in Serbia announced that the T-72B1-MS, better known as the White Eagle, would arrive from Russia, which is one of the modernizations offered to the Russian army, which was not approved.
"White Eagle" is an export version of the T-72 tank facility 184-1MS, which was created as part of the Proryv-2G project, which was offered to the Russian army as a variant of modernization of the T-72 tank. The T-72B1 tank was used as the basis for this modernization.
The day-night sighting device PN-72U sosna-U was installed in the tank, which improved the accuracy of shooting in all weather conditions.
The tank commander received a panoramic sighting device PKP-72 with a third-generation thermal channel, and a similar one was installed on the new T-90M tank.
On the roof of the turret is a remote-controlled combat station with a 12.7 mm NSVT machine gun. These improvements make the T-72B1 MS tank significantly more advanced than the T-72B1 tank, but it is weaker than the T-72B3 tank version when it comes to armor protection.
Passive armor protection on T-72 B1 MS is ERO "Contact-1".
