Neste primeiro volume The Art of Song [When Baroque meets Jazz] exploramos o universo musical formal do extenso período barroco associando-o à liberdade estilística da improvisação e do Jazz. Coabitam num território próprio as influências musicais que nos moldaram artisticamente – a música erudita, o jazz e o cancioneiro tradicional – são aliás premissas para este disco e aparecem espelhadas nas composições que escrevemos.

In this first volume The Art of Song [When Baroque meets Jazz] we explore the formal musical universe of the extensive Baroque period, associating it with the stylistic freedom of improvisation and Jazz.
The musical influences that have shaped us artistically - classical music, jazz and the traditional songbook - coexist in their own particular territory, they are indeed prerequisites for this album and appear mirrored in the compositions we wrote.
