You've played star fox, but have you played its sequel?

Star fox 2 was a cancelled game for the super nintendo

the objective of the game is to destroy all the enemy forces, while defending the planet Corneria from missiles
When you touch an enemy or missile you fight them, similar to how the first game played but on an open map, not a linear line.
The whole game kinda feels somewhat similar to how star fox command on the ds played like

The reason for its cancelation was due to the PlayStation and sega Saturn already being announced and those consoles having captivated the publics attention, Nintendo didn't want a new 16 bit game being compared to much more graphically impressive games

Also it used the fx 2 chip which would have increased the sales price quite a bit.

Nintendo did end up releasing it on the super Nintendo classic, but good luck finding one of those these days.

Have you ever played this game? How did you like it? I personally didn't think it was my cup of tea.
