My FAV? It's not the Tough Armor...The BEST Spigen Cases for the iPhone XS and iPhone 8

Need a new case for your iPhone XS or iPhone 8? You can't go wrong with a Spigen case but the question is: Which one should you get? There's so many and honestly, they all look the same on their website...

I've used every Spigen case over the last few years and have always defaulted to the Tough Armor but this year, Spigen came out with a new case that's pretty awesome!

0:01:38 --- My goto EVERDAY Spigen Case: Spigen Neo Hybrid (for the iPhone 8, it's the Neo Hybrid Herringbone)

For everyday use, I personally prefer the Spigen Neo Hybrid and the Neo Hybrid Herringbone on the iPhone 8 (make sure you get the Herringbone version on the iPhone 8, not the regular Neo Hybrid).

I didn’t have any issues accessing my iPhone in the Neo Hybrid and I’d be comfortable having my iPhone X take an accidental tumble in this case. The Neo Hybrid’s are drop-rated to military grade drop protection though Spigen’s interpretation of that drop-rating is only 4ft.

0:06:07 --- My goto CLEAR Spigen Case: Spigen Crystal Shell

If you're wondering what are ALL the differences between the clear cases in Spigen's iPhone X and iPhone 8 lineup, check out the middle part of the video.

If you need a 100% clear case, I would recommend that you get the Spigen Crystal Shell. It looks similar to the Spigen Rugged Armor but the biggest difference is that the Crystal Shell has a polycarbonate back which makes the case stiffer. The benefit of a stiffer case is that it will protect your iPhone from face first drops a little better than regular TPU cases.

If you don't like the larger than average corners of the Crystal Shell, check on the Neo Hybrid Crystal which has a similar PC back with a PC frame that handle quite well.

0:13:02 --- My goto Thin Spigen Case: Spigen Liquid Air

The Spigen Liquid Air is a decent, thin TPU case. It has a nice texture to it though it isn't as tacky as the clear TPU Liquid Crystal cases.

With that being said, I'm not as excited to recommend the Liquid Air because the texture might be too slick when it's cold old. Dry hands will find this case a little too slick.

If you need more texture, get one of the clear Liquid Crystals.

0:09:11--- My goto TOUGH Spigen Case: Spigen Tough Armor

The Tough Armor is probably Spigen's best known case. And it's going to be the toughest case in Spigen's line up because of the size of the TPU sleeve that the iPhone sits in.

If you check out the video towards the end, you'll see that I compare the size of the Tough Armor against a similar case, the Spigen Slim Armor and you can definitely see the difference between the size of the TPU sleeve that iPhone sits in.

The buttons on the case are easy to use and the edges of the case provide a decent grip to your iPhone.

As I've said before, if you don't know which case to get, you can't go wrong getting a Spigen Tough Armor.

--- Product Quality comparison

I've been reviewing cases for a long time. I've seen many comments over the years saying that Spigen products are no better than the cheap cases from brands. In the video, I've gone and compared several Spigen cases against cheaper alternatives and I think the result will surprise you!

To sum it all up, you can definitely tell that Spigen produces their own cases instead of buying bulk cases from a factory in China and putting them into their own packages.
