A jungle trip to Saranda

Saranda Forest is a dense forest in the hilly region of West Singhbhum district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Saranda forest is land of seven hundred hills. The forest covers an area of 820 sq.km.Ho people inhabit the area, which is dotted with iron ore mining towns including Gua, Chiria, Kiriburu and Noamundi.During our four days' tour to Saranda we visited Jateshwar Shiva Temple, Jateshwar Lake on the first day. On the second day we visited Jhikra Falls and took a refreshing bath at the falls. We witnessed an elegant sunset at Meghataburu. On the third day we took bath at Panchri Falls and had a grand feast in the jungle. Thereafter we went to see the turbulant Karo river at Phulbari in the jungle. On the last day we visited other part of the Karo river below the Leopard's Cave. We had a refreshing bath in the river. We had our lunch at the bungalow and rushed to Barbil station. We availed Barbil Jan Shatabdi Express for Kolkata an thus our long cherished tour ended.
The whole tour has been shown in two parts. The first part contain Jateshwar Shiva Temple, Jateshwar Lake, Jhikra Falls and sunset a Meghataburu. The second part shows Panchri Falls, the Karo river at Phoolbari and at Leopard's Cave.
