In Matthew 17:10-13, Yeshua confirmed that the ministry of Elijah will precede the coming of the Messiah. John the Baptist came in the Spirit and Power of Elijah (Luke 1:17). This is the reason why the book of Luke begins with the birth of John the Baptist. John was a Levitical priest. He was born at Passover. Passover is the month of the historical Egyptian redemption. Isaac was born at Passover. The birth of Isaac at Passover is a prophecy that the future Messianic redemption of ending the exile of the twelve tribes of Israel by the Messiah will begin at Passover. The ministry message of John the Baptist as stated in Matthew 3:1-3 is linked with Isaiah 40:1-3. In Isaiah 40:1, "comfort" is associated with the end of the exile of the twelve tribes of Israel.
