The 2021 KTM RC8R we've been waiting for

If KTM built a NEW RC8R, it might look like this.

For 2020 KTM gave the Super Duke 1290 a major overhaul to keep their flagship supernaked V-twin at the top of the pile alongside the Tuono V4 and Ducati Streetfighter, and together with a varied streetbike and adventure range the KTM line-up looks healthy.... except since 2013 they haven't had a large capacity sportsbike. The RC8 once held that position but due to many factors KTM decided to leave the competitive big sportsbike market to focus their time and energy elsewhere.
With KTM running in its fourth year of MotoGP and scoring their first race win in 2020, could we see them getting interested in the sportsbike sector again? If so, what better way to do it than to bring back the RC8R using the 1290 Super Duke power?
