Atoto S8 standard mini review walkthrough

Brief introduction to the base model S8. Like the more expensive versions it is powered by the Spreadtum 8 core processor. Just a nothing-special speed review here but note that this, unlike some standard car radios it requires a constant 12v connection. On my Nissan, the harness yellow wire turned out to be an a 12v accessory connection so I had to bypass it completely and connect it to the fusebox directly where I found a constant 12v using my multimeter. The red wire that's meant for an accessory connection then was then wired to the yellow wire.
**Feb 2021 Update** Sadly I have had to return the head unit as it was eating up car batteries. It was passively drawing 0.7 Amps when completely switched off regardless of what I did. I even hooked it up directly to an axillary battery to isolate the cause from anything to do with my vehicle wiring and the drain was still there. Fingers crossed Atoto honours their warranty :-)
**Last update - Yes Atoto DID honor the warranty! They sent me a refurbished unit extremely quickly and efficiently and it's working excellently I thoroughly recommend their support**
