We took our kayak out on the Forth to take a closer look at the abandoned island of Inchmickery.

With paddling one of the few activities permitted at the moment, we packed up the kayak and headed out into the frigid waters of the river Forth to get a closer look at one of its islands - Inchmickery. An RSPB reserve, Inchmickery is now home to seabirds but once had a key role in protecting the river, the city of Edinburgh and the dockyard at Rosyth throughout both world wars.

Join us on a perfect morning, albeit a little bit cold, as we paddle around 8 kilometres from another island (Cramond), step ashore at Inchmickery to solve a wee problem and then head back freezing cold to the shore :)
