Rhythmic Displacement of Polyrhythms - Exercises for Hand Independence & Rhythmic Coordination

In this video we will go through a few challenging and creative piano exercises for hand independence and rhythmic coordination. In these exercises we combine two sets of 4:3 polyrhythms played on each hand, and rhythmically displace one of the hands to create an "out of phase" effect that produces an interesting musical texture. We will play 4 different versions of a short composition based on this concept, with rhythmic layers arranged to different vertical orders in each version.
