Today I’m sharing a cozy and hearty traditional mountain-style dish that’s full of flavor, warmth, and love. If you’re looking for something comforting and nourishing, this recipe is perfect for you!

Ingredients:
• 🧅 1 medium onion (chopped)
• 🧄 2 garlic cloves (grated)
• 1/4 cup yellow split peas
• 1/2 cup rice
• 🛢️ 4 tbsp oil (for cooking)
• 4 tbsp plain yogurt
• 🧂 1 tsp salt
• 🌶️ 1 tsp black pepper
• ✨ 1 tsp turmeric
• 🌿 100g parsley
• 🌿 100g coriander
• 🌿 100g mint
• 🌿 100g leek or chives
• 💧 1 liter water
• 🥚 1 egg
• 🍇 1/2 cup raisins and walnuts (optional)
• 🌱 2 tbsp dried herbs (like wild thyme or oregano)
• 🛢️ 2 tbsp oil for garnish (optional)

How to Make It:
1. Sauté chopped onion in oil until golden.
2. Add washed split peas and stir.
3. Add washed rice and pour in the water.
4. Wash and finely chop the herbs. Lightly sauté them in oil, then add to the pot.
5. Add salt, pepper, and turmeric. Cover and let it cook on low heat for 1–2 hours.
6. Once soft, stir in grated garlic.
7. Crack in the egg and mix until fully cooked.
8. Finally, stir in the yogurt and mix gently.
9. For garnish, heat oil and sauté dried herbs — drizzle on top.
10. Optional: serve with raisins and walnuts for extra flavor and texture.
