How to Treat Under Eye Wrinkles and Bags

As we age there are several changes that can occur under the eye. These include under eye wrinkles, lose skin, under eye hollows, bags and under eye discoloration. These changes can also occur at a younger age simply due to genetics or ethnic background. There are several treatment options available to address these changes. Laser resurfacing helps tighten skin and remove under eye wrinkles, fillers can restore volume to remove under eye hollows and bags. Under eye discoloration can be improved using laser (Vbeam Perfecta) and brightening cream. As always, prevention is key but once these changes occur they can be improved as it is never too late to take measures to always look your best.

I earned my Medical Degree from UC Irvine and completed my residency in Dermatology at UCLA. Upon completing my residency, I joined the full-time faculty at UCLA as a Clinical Instructor and Professor in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. I then went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Dermatologic Surgery at UC Davis and Cosmetic Dermatology at the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of Northern California with world-renowned expert, Dr. Suzanne Kilmer. After fellowship, I was appointed the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California where I remained active in clinical trials and have been on the forefront of the latest advances in aesthetics and dermatology. As an Orange County native, I love the SoCal community and currently enjoy being a Dermatologist in Newport Beach, CA.

My areas of expertise include cosmetic dermatology with a focus on injectable neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), as well as dermal fillers (Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Sculptra, Restylane, Belotero, and Radiesse). In addition, I travel nationally and internationally where I teach other physicians injection techniques and about the latest advances in dermatology.
