Wing Chun [Seminar] | Master How to Punch Someone WITHOUT being Counter Punched
FREE Wing Chun seminar. This is a follow up Wing Chun seminar run by the UK Wing Chun Kung Fu Association. This video follows on from our popular and original How to fight with Wing Chun seminar in which we introduced how to use Pak Sao with good footwork in order to ride a Jab Cross boxing style combination. This time we look at how to deal with a good fighter that blocks your attempt to bridge their arms. We explore how to turn their attempt to stop you into a situation where you successfully trap their arms. This is an effective trapping technique for Wing Chun.
In Wing Chun we typically establish a good bridge by throwing a punch. From here you then need to consider where on your arm the contact has been made. A classic example in Wing Chun is how Bong Sao is used once contact has been made above the wrist. The idea of this martial arts instruction is to simple show how you can use Wing Chun to adapt to the change in the attackers response.
An instuctional clip on what to do when a Wing Chun strike is blocked by an attacker. This relates to the essential skill of bridging in Wing Chun. Note, the whole point of Wing Chun is to adapt in a fluid way to the responses of the attacker. In this case we show how to use these techniques to trap the attacker's arms. In essence we are showing how to trap with good effective technique.
