Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) Solution at Bickford’s Distribution Centre - DEMATIC

At Bickford’s 20,000 square metre production facility in Adelaide, South Australia, five Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) work together on replenishment, consolidation, moving stock from the production area to storage, and picking orders which are distributed to local companies, national retail giants including Coles, Woolworths, and Metcash, as well as being exported to 34 countries around the world.

Bickford’s AGVs reduced the company’s overall supply chain costs and provided a return on investment (ROI) of just 2.5 years. Injuries at the DC have been reduced, errors practically eliminated, and the cost of product damage has fallen from around $30,000 per year to just $1,000-$4,000.
