South Tampa Neighborhoods:
South Tampa can be broken down into close to 20 neighborhoods, but I’d like to highlight some of the favorites which most people tend to ask me about. Palma Ceia, Hyde Park, Bayshore Beautiful, Virginia Park, Swann Estates, Westshore and South Westshore, Sunset Park, Ballast Point, Parkland Estates and New Suburb Beautiful.

Shopping:
South Tampa is full of boutique shops, however if you prefer more variety in one location, you can head over to the International Mall which include some of our higher end stores like Armani Exchange, Apple Store, Crate & Barrel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton or the Westshore plaza which has Macy’s, Dick’s sporting goods and Old Navy. A unique blend of boutique shopping with a local vibe is the Hyde Park Village. This is one of my favorite places to bring the family for a nice stroll or sit and have a nice coffee and enjoy the scenery.

South Tampa Restaurants:
For those of you foodies, South Tampa has some of, if not the best restaurants in town. This area is unique in that many of the restaurants are locally owned vs your typical chain restaurants. This gives us a ton of variety and menus that are constantly changing. For fine dining check out Bern’s steakhouse for an experience, On Swann, Bella’s for great Italian, BT’s for a French-Vietnamese blend, and Olivia’s. For some unique faves in the area try Luv Child a 70’s/80’s Miami/soho vibe with a modern latin/Cuban cuisine, Datz … my wife’s favorite and Daily Eats! All of these will have a line out the door but well worth the wait! For a quick bite check out The Fresh Kitchen, its like Chipotle met its healty Twin!...
If you want to take it easy, you will enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine at the Epicurean roof top bar, Ciro’s speakeasy, or one of the many wine bars located in south tampa like Cru Cellars or The Wine Exchange.

South Tampa Schools:
Easy access to some of the best schools including, Plant High School, University of Tampa, Gorrie Elementary and Wilson Middle School.

Things to Do:
Living in South Tampa gives you easy access to some of my favorite Tampa attractions. Not only is it easy to hop on over to the beaches or take the Cross Bay Ferry to downtown St. Pete, but you can also easily visit The Florida Aquarium, The Glazers Children’s museum, The Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Curtis Hixon Park which holds amazing events, The Amalie Arena for a concert or to watch the Tampa Bay Lightning play Hockey and last but certainly not least… Sparkmans Wharf to grab a bite to eat, a great view overlooking the water and a cold beer… and you know I love my brewskies…
