Sherwood Forest Fishery - Holmedale Lake - (Peg 31) ft. Paul Harding.

Paul Harding, one of the new owners of Sherwood Forest Fishery is going to show how he fishes peg 31 on the Holmedale lake, also known as ‘The Borehole’. The reason for this is there is a sunken building that the farmer used to stand his pump on to water his fields. It is around 2.5 metre by 2m square and there is a natural spring running out from under the building and also what the farmer used to feed his pump. This fresh water is very well oxygenated and doesn’t freeze in the colder months which is a great fish holding area. There are 3 steps to the left-hand side of the building which rise halfway up the side. Paul explains where the building is and lines it up with the trees on the far side. He also chats about various activities happening at the fishery.
