Tamil actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan is set to make his debut in the Rajya Sabha. As part of a political alliance, the DMK has allotted one seat to his party, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections scheduled for June 19. Alongside Haasan, the DMK has also announced candidates including poet Salma, senior advocate P. Wilson, and party functionary S.R. Sivalingam.
