Rand weakens ahead of next week’s elections
The rand has weakened from R18,07, to R18,40, to the dollar, after experiencing a positive stellar performance in the last few weeks. Analysts believe the currency's weakening is due to anticipation of the outcome of Wednesday's elections. One economist believes the rand has always been undervalued.
