Kaziranga is a remarkable success story. Today more than eleven hundred rhinos live here, together with herds of wild elephants, buffalo and deer, which form the main prey of Kaziranga's tigers. The film follows the fortunes of a baby rhino during its first year, and features the courtship and mating behaviour of the enormous adult rhinos, too.
