Providence making changes to reduce Washington Bridge traffic

Providence Mayor Brett Smiley announced Wednesday that changes are being made in response to the closure of the westbound side of the Washington Bridge. “The closure of the Washington Bridge has had an increasingly negative impact on our neighbors, businesses, infrastructure and our local quality of life,” Smiley said in a press release.
