Nixie is getting smarter every day 🤖🚀

My AI robot project has now reached another huge milestone. Nixie is now equipped with a Time-of-Flight sensor (VL53L0X), which allows the robot to detect both obstacles and depth in real time. Because of this, Nixie can avoid objects automatically and even recognize edges like tables or stairs, so it won’t fall down anymore.

The robot can move autonomously, communicate using AI, remember conversations, react to commands, and perform different actions completely on its own. Thanks to the new sensor system, Nixie also doesn’t get stuck in front of obstacles and can navigate much more smoothly and intelligently.

Most of the core system is now finished, and I’m very close to completing the full project. After the final code improvements, I’ll start working on major design upgrades with a cleaner and more professional look, no visible cable mess, and later a fully custom PCB for better performance and compact hardware integration.

This project started from scratch and is slowly turning into a real intelligent companion robot. More updates, tutorials, and new features are coming soon 🔥
