Sonic: Orbinaut Framework (SAGE '21) :: Walkthrough ft. All Characters (1080p/60fps)

Orbinaut Framework is an extremely accurate and, which is most important, a very easy to use classic Sonic framework, made for GameMaker Studio 2 (created by Triangly & co.), featured as an entry to this years Sonic Amateur Games Expo.

Accuracy, improvements, optional tweaks: it is all there and is waiting for you. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced fan game developer, visual or traditional coding fan: Orbinaut is made for everyone!​

✪ FEATURES​ ✪
- Three playable characters: Sonic, Tails and Knuckles (and their Super forms!)​
- Physics are 100% identical to classics in their EVERY aspect​.
- Cutsom originals-like collision method with tiles and objects based on distances.
- Various framework tweaks. Gameplay abilities, differences between the classic games and even our own improvements, it is all togglable (via framework setup)!​
- Palette shader. Underwater palette? Palette shifting? Actual palette fade? Say no more, we've got you covered with a bunch of functions​.
- Simple architecture. Code is easy to read, it is formated, well-commented, and the project files are organized the way you will never get problems to work with​.
- Insane optimization. Orbinaut runs better than any other framework, giving the approximate value of 1200+ FPS on a regular stage (depends on your PC and how many objects are on screen, of course)​.
- Detailed documentation with pictures. Everything is described there. Coming soon, please stay tuned!​
- Easy stage, background, palette setup​.
- Use of the IDE is kept to a minimum where possible, code is used instead.

Updates on v1.2:
- Clean project source file is out! Fangames are real now!
- Optimisation improvements, it now runs even better!
- Fixed almost every glitch that has been reported (S-tunnel may still glitch out sometimes).
- Corrected flame barrier behaviour, now its animation last for 24 frames and it locks your control for the same amount of time.
- Transformation animations were fixed.
- Critical bug with savestates was fixed, so they are enabled now.
- Minor changes to object layout.
- Sonic 3 slope physics are disabled, the build is now running on Sonic 2 slope physics.
- Enabled Sonic & Knuckles roll deceleration.
