Nagorno-Karabakh: Thousands of Heavy Weapons ‘Seized by Azerbaijan'

Grenade machine guns, drones and rocket launchers were among thousands of weapons allegedly seized by Azerbaijani authorities from the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

The unverified footage was released by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence, which claims they seized the weapons from Armenian-aligned separatist fighters.

The release of the video comes as at least 70,000 ethnic Armenians are reported to have fled the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.

The mass exodus followed the seizure of the region by Azerbaijan’s military last week.

The United Nations has expressed deep concern over the crisis, with long queues of exhausted and hungry refugees reported to be forming at the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
