An energy 'mix' is needed with 'nuclear being the backbone': Ted O'Brien
Shadow Climate Change and Energy Minister Ted O’Brien says Australia has got to get a “balanced mix of different technologies” to keep the lights on.
“As we move forward, how are we going to be able to integrate renewables, gas and zero emissions nuclear energy?” Mr O’Brien asked Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“Only by having a look at the mix with nuclear being the backbone of the entire system can we get the prices down and keep the lights on as we decarbonise.”
