May 2022 Budget | New Categories | Updated Numbers | Feeling Emotional Cutting my Emergency Fund

This is my monthly budget for May. This gives me a way to breakdown my budget and see where I need to adjust things. I take these numbers and apply them to my biweekly, paycheck-to-paycheck budget.

At the end I talk about why I’m not going to be putting $600/month towards my emergency fund… it’s a very personal decision, but I share it here. Budgeting choices are personal and what works for one person may not work for another person, and vice versa. I can totally see where in my budget I could cut and have more money available to save, but at this point in time I'm not willing to give those up. I'm sure that will change down the road.
