NF2 - neurofibromatosis
Perry H. of Lacombe, LA is ecstatic about regaining his hearing for the first time in 30 years. What started as gradual hearing loss over the years ended up being a rare condition called neurofibromatosis causing two benign brain tumors on his hearing nerves. Last month, he underwent a major surgery at West Jefferson Medical Center where Drs. Moises Arriaga and Frank Culicchia, a neurotologist and neurosurgeon respectively, worked together to remove the most threatening tumor and implant a Cochlear device to restore Perry's hearing. It's the perfect Christmas gift. For the first time, Perry can hear his grandkids and kids.
