Before Rare, Before Ultimate, The Stampers' Early Arcade Games.

Before shooting to fame in the UK with Ultimate Play The Game and gaining international success with Rare, the Stamper Brothers created three arcade games.

Blue Print is a maze game where the player must assemble parts of a weird machine to get to the next level, a bit like the later hit Jetpac. This was probably the biggest title of the three, receiving home versions on the Atari 2600 and 5200 as well as the C64.

Dingo is a more Pac-Man like maze game, where the player must collect fruit whilst avoiding nasties in a jungle that seems to bear a little resemblance to another Spectrum smash hit, Sabre Wulf.

Saturn is a field shooter in the style of Galaga or Phoenix, where the player must clear waves of baddies in a series of fixed screen levels. Again the graphics here bear some resemblance to the later Ultimate games in the Jetman series.
