Ukrainian town of Borodyanka left in ruins after Russian withdrawal

UKRAINIAN town of Borodyanka is left in ruins after Russian withdrawal from the town west of Kyiv.

Footage released by Ukrainian Witness on Sunday, April 10, shows widespread destruction in the Kyiv town of Borodyanka following the withdrawal of Russian forces from the area.

Crews and volunteers in Borodyanka were continuing to clear rubble in search of victims, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said on Sunday.

Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky said on April 6 that Borodyanka was one of the “biggest tragedies in Ukraine”.

“The town of Borodyanka is one of the most destroyed towns of Ukraine,” he said, according to an interpreter.
