The plugin-hybrid BMW X5 returns for 2021 in a predictable yet impressive package of technology, fuel efficiency and refinement. First introduced in 2016, the BMW X5 plugin hybrid never fully lived up to its EV potential with an initial offering of just 14 miles round trip on electric-only power. But, after a couple of years on hiatus, the Bavarians are back for 2021 with an X5 that DOUBLES its EV-only range, and pairs that electric motor with a twin turbo 3.0L inline 6-cylinder that pumps out a monstrous combined horsepower. Luxury appointments adorn every inch of the leather-wrapped interior, which boasts dual 12.3" LCD displays and allow the occupants to customize their X5 in nearly a million different ways - from ambient lighting to steering wheel feedback!
