Operation Sindoor has sent shockwaves not just across Pakistan, but deep into the corridors of power in Washington and Beijing. In a swift, precision-led air campaign, the Indian Air Force dismantled Pakistan’s critical air defence grid, which was built around China’s HQ-9 missile system and the U.S.-supplied TPS-77 radar network. Using anti-radiation loitering drones like the Israeli HAROP and HARPY, Indian forces neutralized radar sites across Lahore, Sialkot, Pasrur and Rahim Yar Khan. Once the radar grid collapsed, India launched targeted missile strikes on key Pakistani airbases including Sukkur, Peshawar, Sargodha, Malir and the prestigious Nur Khan Air Base near Rawalpindi. Satellite images confirmed extensive runway damage, destroyed hangars and compromised aircraft. India also deployed electronic warfare systems to jam radars and paralyze command communications. Pakistan remained in denial, but Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif later confirmed the strike on Nur Khan. China and the U.S. remained silent as their flagship military technologies failed under real combat conditions. This wasn’t just a tactical win—it was a strategic masterstroke that challenged the credibility of foreign defence systems. Operation Sindoor has redefined India’s air superiority, marking its power projection as not just regional—but global.
