Environment Minister gets a ‘win’ as Murray Darling Basin laws pass through the Senate
Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek has “had a win today” in terms of her Murray Darling Basin laws passing through the Senate, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
Mr Clennell said Ms Plibersek, “who so often attacks the Greens,” appeared at a press conference with the Greens Party.
He said it's the first joint press conference by a Labor minister with the Greens in a decade.
“Make of that what you will, but it's well known around this building that the Environment Minister still harbours leadership ambitions,” he said.
“She's keen to push her collaborative qualities when it comes to the crossbench.”
