Carraig Aonair, NCH 2014
Shaun Davey's song based on a poem by Cuivín ó Cinneide, which describes the Fastnet Rock off the Southwest coast of Ireland, and ponders the fate of the transatlantic liner, Lusitania, sunk by a German submarine in 1915 with great loss of life. First performed by Béal Tuinne, here sung by Rita Connolly at the National Concert Hall, Dublin with the RTECO, conducted by David Brophy.
