Lion's growl

Shaka the lion giving a demonstration at the Great Cats World Park in Cave Junction, OR.

The whole time the lion was looking right at Max (3) in my lap. Max was brave though. IT is a whole different ballgame when he growls two feet away from you.

And, for the more sensitive types, this is a rescue animal. If it wasn't here, it probably would have been killed. The staff here frequently interacted with the animals and they all looked healthy and well fed.
