DIY!! A Weiser Keypad Door Lock with Android/iPhone/WiFi control using an ESP32 Seeed XIAO

A repair here was not an option.. Time and the elements had destroyed the external keypad. It looked fine but didn’t work. The remainder of the lock worked perfectly, so I started looking at an IOT upgrade. This is a practical application of the ESP32 SEEED XIAO. I’m definitely NOT a C++ programmer and have had zero training in C or C++. I just adapted the sample Public Domain code to meet my needs. This video shows how to upgrade an existing Weiser Keypad lock using an Expressif ESP32 based Seeed XIAO processor. The application uses the existing processor and motor control interface as a base.

This sketch uses the WiFi Library at: Arduino-IDE-Sketch-Include Library- WiFi.
Only "wifi.h" is required.

These are LINUX instructions:
It is always a good idea to install "esptool.py".
python3 --version //Check the Python version. 3.7 or above required.
sudo apt install python3-pip //This installs the pip installer
pip install esptool // Now install esptool.py

Don't forget to install BOTH JSON files in: Arduino-ide-File-Preferences-Additional boards Manager URLs:

This project was programmed using Arduino-IDE. HTML was required in the sketch to create the microcontroller web page.
