S. Rachmaninoff. Piano Concerto no 4, op. 40, fragment (Spitfire virtual orchestra test)
Hey there,
This is a fragment of the 4th Rachmaninoff 's Piano Concerto (1st movement).
I'm performing this concerto for the first time with an orchestra in March 2023 but I can't just sit and wait for the full experience. So I'm testing the Spitfire Symphony Orchestra virtual orchestra library - I bought it about a year ago, and damn, it's good. It's playing better than me so far, I'm still learning this piece but hell yes, it made me practice.
I'm planning to do a complete version during upcoming weeks - I'm learning so much while studying and playing all the orchestra parts myself. It's priceless to have this opportunity to dive into the full score and appreciate its beauty and energy inside out. It's a brilliant score, guys.
Another advantage of using a virtual library is a complete freedom of tempo choice. Slowing down and practicing any section in any tempo, with the orchestra, it's a dream come true.
I'm going to make the full orchestra track available when it's ready. Let me know what you think.
