Mega Man is a science fiction superhero animated television series co-produced by Ruby-Spears Productions and Ashi Productions. It is based on the video game series of the same name by Capcom. The TV series began on September 11, 1994 and ended on January 19, 1996. Two seasons were produced with a third season planned, but the show was cancelled due to budget constraints.

In a technologically advanced future, the brilliant Dr. Light creates a powerful humanoid robot named Rock to assist in peaceful scientific work. When Dr. Light’s former colleague, the evil Dr. Wily, reprograms a group of industrial robots to aid in his quest for world domination, Rock volunteers to be transformed into the super fighting robot known as Mega Man.

Armed with a powerful arm cannon and the ability to absorb the powers of defeated enemies, Mega Man battles Wily’s army of Robot Masters across the globe. Alongside his robot dog Rush and his sister Roll, Mega Man defends humanity from Wily’s schemes and proves that even in a world of machines, true heroism comes from compassion, courage, and a strong sense of justice.
